Little John at home

Here are a handful of shots from my most recent portrait shoot. It is of a delightful little boy called John. These pictures give a precious insight into his life as it is now and serve as a poignant reminder in the future.

If I ever question why I shoot in people's homes, which I won't, these pictures prove the point that people are totally at ease in their environment, the background is always appropriate and the shots are inevitably unique.

My customers don't have the hassle with packing their cars with changes of clothing, food for a week AND the kids! And as for babies? They fall asleep in the car and are almost impossible to wake when they arrive at the studio - and then they are grumpy, need changing, etc, etc. These are shoots at their convenience. Besides, I could not have achieved these images in a studio.

commercial for Pixelite

Having a short video on your website can significantly improve the traffic driven to your site. Therefore I recommend you check out a company called Pixelite which is run by my good friend Steve Gibbons. However, I must apologise in advance for the visual content !!

Just wanted to revisit this shoot from late last year. It features my 2 beautiful daughters Grace and Philippa. With this wealth of beauty to hand, I really should use them more!!

auctiontables.com

Over the past couple of decades, the eating experience in Britain has changed immeasurably. Because food photography is a major weapon of any restaurateur's armoury, it is up to me, as a food photographer, to reflect these advances and changes.

Having worked closely over the years with such names as Raymond Blanc, Paul Heathcote, Nigel Haworth and the Living Rooms, my photography for the food industry has evolved accordingly. Is fine dining about the food, wine, interior design, the exterior look or the overall ambience? Well it's not of these individually, but all of them collectively and much, much more.

Therefore my restaurant photography has to bring these elements together and allow them to shout to you off the page. Please look through these images to see what I have to give and also what I am now offering in conjunction with auctiontables.com
